Writesonic is no longer a budget AI writing tool. In 2026 it repositioned as an "AI Search Growth Engine" that tracks and improves how brands appear in AI answers (ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and more). The free plan, the $16/month writer plans and Chatsonic are gone; plans now start at $79/month. AI article generation still exists, but only as a capped feature inside those visibility plans. So this is no longer a like-for-like comparison: Jasper is an AI writing platform, Writesonic is an AI search visibility platform. This page explains what each one does now and which one fits your situation.

Jasper is built around producing marketing content: its Canvas workspace, marketing agents, Brand Voices (2 on Pro), Knowledge assets and Audiences keep output consistent with your brand. The Business plan adds agents for more complex workflows (including GEO, translations and deep research), a no-code agent builder, API access and admin controls. If your job is writing blog posts, emails, ads and campaign assets, this is still the tool in this pair that does that.
Writesonic: an AI search visibility platform
Writesonic now monitors how often and how favorably a brand shows up in AI-generated answers, prioritizes the gaps, and suggests or executes fixes such as content updates and technical audits. Every plan bundles a limited number of AI articles and site audits, but those exist to support visibility work, not as a standalone writer. What's gone from Writesonic
